Hello.
I'm Donna.
And I'm never without my camera.
Much to the chagrin of my husband and children and anyone who travels with me on vacation. Or dines with me in a restaurant. Or accompanies me on any occasion or event or errand. But I make no apologies. Beauty is everywhere -- in moments, in architecture, in nature, even in food. And I am captivated by it.
My wheelhouse is the inanimate. Because it doesn't move. Usually. This is important considering the extent to which I fuss over details -- style elements, lighting, perspective, composition...blind cords. You get the idea. I'm crazy about design, whether it's an interior, a building, a landscape or a cupcake. I'll tweak and refine, in camera and in post, until it satisfies my relentless-obsessive-perfection-seeking eye.
All that said, I'll be honest. I'm also drawn to human emotion. Authenticity. Which is why, schedule permitting, it is impossible for me to resist shooting a portrait, an event, or even a wedding. But don't tell anyone. Especially if it requires formality. I know, sometimes posing is necessary, but my preference is to fade into the background and capture the real stuff as it unfolds. To me, those are the moments worth preserving, framing. Therein lies beauty.
I live in a suburb of Philadelphia and serve design and hospitality professionals in the greater metropolitan area. But I don't hesitate to pack my gear -- and passport -- to create images anywhere on the planet. Because if there's anything I love as much as photography, it's traveling.
I love what I do. And I'd be delighted to hear about what I can capture for you.
